The NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships have become a valued prize over the past year, and tonight three top teams look to prove they belong as champions. Katana Chance & Kayden Carter are the reigning champions, and need to prove they belong at the top of the division. Toxic Attraction intend to prove they can stand without Mandy Rose and become three time champions. Finally, Ivy Nile & Tatum Paxley are looking to bring some gold back into Diamond Mine.
High Stakes Triple Threat For NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships
Dolin & Carter would start this match, with Diamond Mine remaining on the apron. A quick tag to Jayne allowed for some quick tag team offence from Toxic Attraction, with Jayne thrown into the corner with a cannonball senton. Nile would tag herself into the match, hitting a double suplex with Paxley before sending Paxley into a moonsault for a two count.
Jayne would hit a running forearm smash, before the champions hit the ring with a double dropkick. Chance & Carter would dive to the floor, wiping out all four opponents as we went to a commercial break. Back from the break, Nile was trapped in the middle of the ring with a Bow & Arrow Stretch.
Nile would flip into a pinfall, before being dropped with an STO. Carter would get a tag from Nile, and would drive Dolin into the Diamond Mine corner. Paxley would tag herself into the match, but was dropped as Carter hit the corner with a dropkick to Dolin before a splash to Paxley.
Kayden Carter Shows Her Champion Instincts
Chance & Carter would set up a hurricanrana out of the corner, with Paxley taken off the shoulders of Carter sitting on the top rope. Nile would hit the ring, only to be dropped by Toxic Attraction – with Jayne getting a two count off a senton. Carter would be kept out of the ring, as Jayne missed a cannonball senton before Nile tossed Paxley onto Jayne for a two count.
Dragon Sleeper from Nile would be blocked, with Jayne able to hit a neckbreaker. Carter would tag herself into the match, only to be locked in the Dragon Sleeper. She’d use the bottom rope to tilt into a pinfall, and was able to pull off the three count to retain the championships once again.
