A survey indicated that the majority of adults believe that Prince Harry should be included in the invitation list for King Charles III’s Coronation in May.
Poll Suggests Most Adults Want Harry To Attend King Charles III’s Coronation-‘Meghan Must Have Commissioned That Poll’
Sixty per cent of those surveyed expressed their opinion that the Duke of Sussex should be invited to the Royal event, while only 30 per cent disagreed.
This was surprising to say the least since Harry’s memoir, Spare, did make damning claims against the firm. One even went as far as to state that Charles’ wife, Queen Consort Camilla, was a villain.
Not only that, but since the Coronation is on the same day as Archie’s fourth birthday, that poll has thrown quite a curveball. And yet, the poll revealed that different age demographics had varying views regarding Harry.
The majority of respondents aged between 18 and 34 stated that Prince Harry should be invited, with 75% agreeing and 15% disagreeing.
Among those aged from 35 to 54, 65% were in favor of the invitation, while 26% were opposed. The opinion of those over 55 was more evenly split, with 47% in favor and 42% against.
Gideon Skinner, who happens to be part of Ipsos UK the company behind the poll, had this to say: “Despite not being as popular as he once was, most Britons still think Harry should be invited to the coronation in May, which suggests some hope for reconciliation.”
The fans on social media, though, were not convinced by the contents of the poll. A significant proportion of people were of the view that the Sussexes had burnt their bridges. Therefore, it was too late for a reconciliation.
And by the looks of it, the comments were very brutal. One person wrote: “Meghan must have commissioned that poll,” while another person stated: “No way does that reflect public opinion.
“And telling me that some think he should be invited won’t sway me. Do one Harry.” So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
