Prince Harry may have released his memoir, Spare, but it could have implications for him and Meghan Markle moving forward.
Prince Harry’s Memoir Could Damage The Sussexes’ ‘Relationships With The Hollywood Elite,’ Says Royal Expert Kinsey Schofield
On Tuesday, 10th January 2023, he launched his divulging novel, which sold 1.43 million copies during its first day of release in the U.K., U.S., and Canada, thus making it the quickest-selling non-fiction book in history, as declared by Guinness World Records.
However, an expert on the monarchy cautioned against celebrating too soon, as those close to the couple in Hollywood may be hesitant about what information is revealed for fear of further public statements from the pair.
Kinsey Schofield had this to say: “I think ‘Spare’ and the [recent] Netflix documentary will ultimately hurt Harry and Meghan’s relationships with the Hollywood elite.
“Did intensely private Beyoncé give Meg permission to read a text message that she sent the duchess verbatim to millions of Netflix subscribers?
“I highly doubt it.” Harry also divulged intimate information regarding the British Royal Family in “Spare.”
He asserted that there was a detrimental connection between the monarchy and the press, expressing how certain royal members would give out condemning reports concerning other family members in return for having favourable publicity for themselves.
He particularly named Queen Consort Camilla, wife of King Charles III, blaming her for passing on information to the press as she tried to enhance her reputation after her long-term romance with his father.
And yet, Harry has also divulged other things. Kinsey added: ” “They are putting people in uncomfortable situations.”
The response on social media was equally as damning. A large number of people were of the view that the Sussexes had failed in their attempt to rebrand themselves as an alternative to the firm.
One person wrote: “They became a joke, pariah. I would be ashamed to be associated with these two.”
