When it comes to missed chances in WWE, it’s hard to look past how Taya Valkyrie was used when signed to the company in 2021. Her run didn’t even last a year before she would be released, with only a few televised matches. A promised title run never happened, making for one of the most forgettable runs from a fantastic wrestler – and has all but ensured she never wants to return to the company.
Taya Valkyrie On WWE Return
Now back in Impact Wrestling & AAA Wrestling, Valkyrie holds the IMPACT Knockouts Tag Team Championships and AAA Reina de Reinas Championship. During a digital autograph signing for K&S Wrestlefest, Valkyrie would be asked if she would consider returning to WWE. Valkyrie had the following to say.
“I don’t know. I don’t if I would want to go back. I was fired at the worst time in human history, unfortunately. I worked very hard to get there and I continued to prove myself over and over again, especially this last year. I don’t know. I’m in a good place, I’m working everywhere, making lots of money, being happy, mentally and physically good. Who knows.”
At this point – there is simply not much reason for her to consider a return to WWE, unless massive money is offered. She can put “former WWE Superstar” on her resume, and already got a taste of how Triple H viewed her as a wrestler with her run in NXT.
AEW Is Still On The Table For Taya Valkyrie If The Chance Arises
However, Valkyrie is not going to turn down an offer to appear for All Elite Wrestling. Following some recent support from Saraya on Twitter, the question of if she’d go to AEW came up – getting the following response.
“Who knows. Especially the last few years wrestling has been unpredictable, you never know.”
2023 seems like the year the AEW Women’s division truly takes off, following a solid finish to 2022 with Jamie Hayter breathing new life into the division as champion. Adding a solid name like Valkyrie would only help the roster grow, and could be used as a bridge between AEW and the Impact Wrestling Knockouts Division.
