Last week on NXT, Dijak would prove pivotal in Wes Lee remaining the NXT North American Champion. Tony D’Angelo nearly had the match won, before Dijak would abduct Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo from ringside. Dijak would interrogate Stacks backstage, saying he’s the true Face of Fear in NXT. However, he prefers to deliver his hard justice in the ring – and he meets Stacks there tonight.
Dijak Sends A Message Using Stacks
Stacks would be frenzied hitting the ring, throwing wild punches before some knee strikes to the jaw. Dijak would nail a knee to the ribs, sending Stacks flopping and grasping his midsection. Some ground and pound strikes would follow, with Dijak keeping Stacks close by grasping the ankle and hitting some stomps.
A backbreaker would be followed by a reckless toss, Stacks being thrown like a bag of garbage. Dijak would miss a spear into the corner, allowing for some running uppercuts from Stacks. This just fired Dijak up as he hit the big boot and Feast Your Eyes for the victory.
Dijak would look for a second after the bell, with D’Angelo making the save and sending Dijak to the mat. He would say that Dijak lacks the heart that Stacks has, and would challenge Dijak for New Years Evil next week.
The Women’s Division Brawls It Out
Even without Mandy Rose in the mix – Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne are keen on keeping Toxic Attraction alive. They remain one of the strongest brands in the women’s division, and tonight intend to set their goals for 2023. With all eyes now on them, they intend to push the envelope further than the past 18 months.
They don’t intend to make a News Years Resolution, they want some serious revenge. Roxanne Perez tried to tear down their Toxic Empire – and now they will use the body of the new NXT Women’s Champion as some new foundation. Indi Hartwell would interrupt this promo, saying we need new blood in the division… starting with her.
Cora Jade would interrupt the interruption, with Nikitta Lyons interrupting the interruption. Zoey Stark would be next, saying the reign of Perez will be short. Wendy Choo more or less just wanted to trash talk Jade, and Thea Hail would call for a brawl. The rest of the division would follow, including Fyre & Dawn – who are set to meet in an Extreme Resolution match.
The camera would focus on them as they brawled to the parking lot, before Roxanne Perez announced a 20 woman battle royale – with the winner getting her shot at the NXT Women’s Championship as NXT goes back on the road at Vengeance Day.
Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn Look To End Each Others Careers
Not hearing the announcement, Dawn & Fyre kept their brawl going, with Dawn driven face first into a loading door. They’d move into the warehouse, using anything not nailed down as a weapon during a wild brawl. Dawn would be body slammed onto a giant X from the old NXT 2.0 set, with Fyre getting a lead pip and trying to crush the head of Dawn – who dodged and used a trash can.
Dawn tried to use the lead pipe, but it was driven into her midsection, before Fyre tried to drop a ladder on her. They’d battle onto some equipment crates, with Dawn headbutted down to the floor onto a pile of 2×4’s and chairs. Fyre was not done, using a trash can lid on the spine before placing Dawn in a wheelbarrow.
Finally at ringside, Dawn would be driven into the post face first and rolled into the ring. Bell would finally ring, but the damage to Dawn was done. She’d be driven into the corner with a steel chair in her midsection, but came back with a snap suplex into the corner. Dawn would stomp the hand of Fyre, only to take a Gory Bomb for a two count.
Fyre Starts 2023 With Huge Victory
Fyre went to the top rope, but was shoved down to the floor by Dawn. She’d grab a tool box from under the ring, attacking the hands of Fyre in the ring using a wrench. Fyre would risk broken fingers, but refused to tap out. She’d hit a Gordbuster, before some running kicks in the ring. A dive to the floor would follow, with Fyre grabbing a table from under the ring.
Fyre would look for the Gory Bomb, but Dawn fought back – able to slam the hand of Fyre in the tool box. Dawn would have the toolbox shoved into her midsection, and was set up on the table. Fyre would be ready to dive, but Dawn didn’t even flinch as the table didn’t break. A Gory Bomb through the table would follow, before Fyre rolled Dawn into the ring for the pinfall.
