Avery Mills, who is best known for being on ’90 Day Fiancé’, has revealed that her husband Omar Albakour’s family died in the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria.

It is fair to say that the couple have been through a lot. They introduced themselves to the fan base when Avery decided to join the religion of Islam, as she met Omar online. This was a major step in her life since she was from America, while he was from Syria.
The war in Syria meant that they met each other in Beirut, Lebanon. During the course of that process, they decided to get married. While that was a major hurdle in and of itself, it seems that the couple now have another one to navigate.
According to reports, the earthquake has killed over 33,000 people. This was in addition to the mass devastation that was caused to the infrastructure, as well as the dangers caused by the plummeting temperatures.
The couple therefore could have been forgiven for feeling dejected, but they managed to put on a brave face with some positive words, showing how strong they are in their faith in God.
In a post to her fans on Instagram, Avery shared some pictures of the people who had passed. This included many young children which was devastating.
The post was captioned by the following words: “With great sadness, Omar lost 5 close family members due to the earthquake in Turkey and Syria.
“What we originally thought was only 4 now became 5 deaths. 3 of the 5 victims were very young children. Our heart is hurting as well as so many other families in Turkey and Syria. May Allah [God] ease the pain.”
