“I’ve recently started working with the NXT talent on helping develop characters and things of that nature, and I’ve really enjoyed it thus far. So I’m really looking forward to working with NXT a lot more as the year progresses. I’d like to remind everybody one more time that I have been cleared to compete and I can’t think of a better scenario for me to step back in the ring than alongside my beautiful wife.”
Graves was cleared to return to the ring in February 2022, but has yet to return to the ring. In addition to this new role, Graves is one of the main commentators in WWE, handling Monday Night RAW alongside Kevin Patrick and WWE PPV’s alongside Michael Cole. Graves also is the host of WWE After The Bell – a weekly podcast produced by WWE.
Setting The Stage For A Mixed Tag Team Match?
His wife Carmella will be involved in the Elimination Chamber match tomorrow in Montreal, with the winner facing the RAW Women’s Champion at WrestleMania 39. With Graves bringing up his in-ring status, he could be looking to set the stage for a mixed tag team match against a duo like Bianca Belair & Montez Ford, with Belair being the current RAW Women’s Champion. Belair is expected to carry the belt into WrestleMania.
As an in-ring talent, Graves was undoubtedly talented – and has kept himself in shape over the past decade. While his value behind the announce desk is clear, and occasional match will suit Graves perfectly in 2023. Do you want to see Graves wrestle in 2023?
