Lookalikes are a thing in the celebrity world and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is no exception. However, it’s not common for the lookalike to leave it all on the dance floor to truly resemble the original article. Personal trainer Antonio Muratore of Milan went those extra miles going as far as to get the same tattoos as The Great One.
Dwayne Johnson Has an Italian Lookalike and the Resemblance is Uncanny
In total, the 54-year-old first ballot body double got roughly 50 tattoos done in the same spots as Johnson. It seems as though Muratore is open to being a stunt double for The Rock as well.
Mind you, because of his resemblance and the tats—that’s a very specific gig considering that The Rock can only do so many films a year with his schedule. That wouldn’t eliminate him from being an actor in budget productions or mockbusters that want a Johnson-lookalike.
According to Muratore, roughly a ten years ago, a friend told him that he looked like The Rock and the seed was planet. As for how it affects his daily life, the personal trainer said that he loves the attention he gets by being mistaken for the former multi-time World Champion.
He even said that people will stop him and ask for photos as if they had run into the WWE legend in the store or on the street! While he mentions that he is a private person, he enjoys the attention since it makes people happy.
“It’s an incredible situation to look like him. In general I’m quite a private person and I don’t like a lot of attention – but I never tire of this because it makes people happy. I would do anything to meet him one day.”
Muratore even admits that with his shades on, he can be easily mistaken for the genuine article. Hell, if he could imitate The Rock’s voice, he could fill in during those long signings.
