Royal expert Ingrid Seward has suggested that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were the first to learn of Princess Eugenie’s pregnancy.

On Tuesday, 24th January 2023, Princess Eugenie publicly revealed that she and her partner, Jack Brooksbank, were expecting their second baby. Eugenie and Jack welcomed their first child, August Philip Hawke Brooksbank, in 2021.
With that being said, the news of another child was welcomed. Eugenie was incredibly joyful and shared a photograph of herself with a big smile, being kissed on her baby bump by her son, on Instagram.
The post was captioned by the following comments: “We’re so excited to share that there will be a new addition to our family this summer.” The news will be welcomed for the firm in light of the recent difficulties they have been through of late.
Prince Harry’s memoir, Spare, was very scathing of the Royal Family which included damning admissions such as Prince William’s attack on him which led to Harry falling down on a dog ball.
Despite this being the case, Ingrid made it clear that Eugenie will have most likely reached out to the Sussexes following her pregnancy news.
In her comments, she said: “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex would have been amongst the first to hear the news of Eugenie’s pregnancy.
“Meghan and Harry are close with Eugenie – and not only has she stayed with them in California, but they have been on holidays together before Harry’s marriage.”
The fans on social media made their position clear. A certain subset of people questioned the veracity of this claim since Eugenie will have had other people closer to her who may have found out first.
One person wrote: “I doubt that very much as it would be her mum or dad.” Time will tell how the Sussexes respond to this news.
