Is there anything from which the Kardashians can’t make money from? Kourtney Kardashian recently announced the latest addition to her businesses. As you’d expect, it is as controversial as it can get. She announced the launching of vaginal health gummies, also known as probiotics for the vagina.
The official name of the gummies is Lemme Purr. Firstly, they are designed to improve the smell and taste of the vagina. Something that doesn’t usually come to your mind often. Nevertheless, it has been also branded sexist and sparked massive criticism.
Kourtney Kardashian Introduces New Gummies That Improve Vaginal Odour and Taste
“Your… she’s going to love this… Meet Lemme Purr: our new vaginal health gummy! Vaginal health is such an important part of a woman’s overall well-being (and not talked about enough), which is why we’re so excited to launch this! Give your vagina the sweet pleasure it deserves (and make it a sweet treat). You know what they say… you are what you eat.” – Kortney wrote in the description of her Instagram post.
Vitamins and minerals are a very popular topic all over the world. There is no doubt that almost everyone takes vitamins to improve his immune system, or to better his overall health. Gummy vitamins are basically the same as the pill-format ones, with one crucial difference. As the name tells itself, the first is chewable and tastes usually good, and the second is regular pills.
Now comes the big revelation. Kourtney Kardashian didn’t design anything. She just introduced a new line of chewable vitamins to her businesses. That’s it! However, the way she advertises it is quite different than how other brands advertise. As with everything she does, she aimed the female audience and their genitalia.
If you go on her website, it describes the gummies as “tasty little treat in the form of a jelly bean with some powerful features”.
Oh how the word game sometimes is able to distort your perception and make you think you are reading about something Sci-fi when you are actually reading about vitamin gummies.
According to her website, the gummies contain “Bacillus coagulans SNZ 1969 and is full of vitamin C to prevent urinary tract infections from bacterial vaginosis.”
“I like that we bring attention to vaginal health, but the idea that your vagina is dirty and must smell like a flower or taste like a bakery is ridiculous.” – gynecologist Carolyn Moyers criticized Kortney. “The vagina is actually self-cleaning. It distorts our body image and makes women feel that something is wrong with them; Nevertheless, it perpetuates this idea that we are breaking and need to fix our bodies to be attractive.”
