Meghan Markle’s tendency to be ambitious could backfire on Prince Harry.
Meghan Markle’s Ambitions Could Backfire On Harry-‘Her Number One Interest Is Herself, Will She Keep Harry, Who Knows,’ Says Tom Bower
That is according to author Tom Bower. The concept of ambition was something that Meghan mentioned on her Archetypes podcast.
During the course of that process, she made it clear that ambition was only viewed negatively when she married Prince Harry. After all, Meghan was coming from a background of acting in Suits into the royal riches.
This was something hinted at by Harry in his memoir, Spare, when he accused Prince William and Kate Middleton of stereotyping his wife as a bi-racial American actress that was divorced.
While that may have been the case, royal expert Angela Levin had countered some of those points. She made it clear that the reasons why Meghan failed to adjust to royal life was because she couldn’t put her personal ambitions aside for the sake of royal duties.
In her comments, Levin said: “It’s not the ambition that gets you happy within the Royal Family. It’s a sense of duty. It’s a sense of working together.
“It’s a sense of supporting the Queen. She doesn’t go there to show how clever she is…She tries to become like everybody who’s wealthy. She’s got to attach herself to them.”
And if those comments are taken to be true, then Bower feels that Harry could be in the firing line. Now that the Duke of Sussex has alienated most of his family, his relationship with Meghan is more vital than ever.
Should they part ways, Harry would face difficulties in going back to the firm, given how vocal he has been about them. And that is something he has to be wary of.
Bower’s following comments confirmed as much: “Her number one interest is herself and her second interest in money.
“Will she keep Harry for long, perhaps Harry will become redundant to her ambitions to the near future. Who knows.”
