Since making her debut for WWE in 2017, we’ve gotten to see a second generation star live up to her potential. Raquel Rodriguez has been one of the bigger stars in the women’s division in terms of size, flaunting her power on the way to winning the NXT Women’s Champion, NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship, and WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. She’s been in some big matches – but a match with Bianca Belair is high on her list of dream matches.
Raquel Rodriguez Names Bianca Belair As A Dream Match
While speaking with Zak Ralph of Love Wrestling, Rodriguez would declare that current RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair is one of her biggest dream matches in WWE.
“I’ve just been saying that that would be one of my dream matches. I’ve yet to have a moment where I’ve been able to step into a ring with Bianca across from me as my sole opponent. This would definitely be a first for both of us, and who wouldn’t love a powerhouse versus powerhouse match? You know what I mean? I would love to step into the ring with the EST, because win or lose, there’s something to learn from that match. There’s something to gain from that match. I want that knowledge. I’m hungry for more. I know I’m one of the newer girls on the block here, but trust me, I’m ready to go and I’m ready for whatever they’re willing to throw at me.”

Just Missed Her Chance To Face Belair At WrestleMania 39
Rodriguez recently had a chance to make this match a reality during Elimination Chamber 2023. A victory in the Elimination Chamber match would have put her on the path to facing Belair at WrestleMania 39 – but Rodriguez would be unable to get the win. Instead, it is Asuka moving to WrestleMania to test The Est Of WWE.
WIth the two cards for WrestleMania 39 quickly filling up, we will know if Rodriguez will find a spot on the event. She’s been consistently able to find herself in big matches since her call up from the WWE NXT roster – and has been able to deliver in all of her big chances. 2023 could well be a major year for her career.
