Prince Harry has consistently expressed his desire to make peace with his family, but the Royal Family will want something in return.
Royal Family Will Only Apologise To Harry And Meghan If They Get Something In Return-Says Royal Expert Afua Hagan
That is according to royal expert Afua Hagan. The expert highlighted that the Duke is particularly eager to receive an apology from his brother, Prince William, for his conduct.
Harry claimed in his autobiography, Spare, that William physically hit him which caused the Duke to fall on a dog bowl. Not only that, but Harry also stated that William had shouted and screamed at him regarding a meeting over Megxit.
Hagan holds the view that an apology is critical for mending the relationship, however, she further believes that Harry and Meghan Markle must take accountability as well.
In her comments, Afua said: “I think a reconciliation will take an apology from the Royal Family to Harry and Meghan and accountability on both sides.
“The Royal Family won’t want it to be them just apologising and Harry and Meghan going thank you and walking away, they’re going to want something as well.”
Negotiations between King Charles III, Harry and the Prince of Wales are said to be in progress, as the monarch is eager to leave the Sussex commotion behind him prior to the Coronation.
Justin Welby, the Archbishop of Canterbury, is thought to be the one to facilitate the discussions. The King is said to have requested Mr Welby to make a deal between his clashing sons so that the Sussexes can participate in the Coronation in May.
This is not the first occasion when the Archbishop has been requested to intervene in the familial dispute, since Queen Elizabeth II’s death in September, he was requested to be a mediator between William and Harry.
And hopefully moving forward, a compromise can be reached to ensure that there is a similar resolution once again. Time will tell.
So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
