It has been suggested that Prince Harry may be brought to the UK for a short visit to take part in his father, King Charles III’s Coronation.
Sources Say Harry Could Attend King Charles III’s Coronation Without Meghan-‘Stay At Home Harry, Your Son Comes First’
The event is set to go ahead on Saturday, 6th May 2023 which just so happens to be on the same day as Archie’s birthday. This led to doubts over whether Harry would attend, but now it seems he could make a visit without Meghan Markle.
It was reported by sources close to the Royal Family that Harry’s trip will be a two-day stay, while Meghan will stay at their residence in California in order to commemorate their son’s birthday.
Aside from that, there are other issues that the firm will have to deal with. It has been a difficult process to plan the peak event, according to sources close to the palace, as they have had to reduce the guest list from 8,000 to 2,000 that attended the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II.
Moreover, they have had to arrange this event within only half the time period of what was available in 1953, with just 16 months in between the Queen succeeding the throne and the official crowning.
And on top of that, there is the issue of security concerns with Charles already having been subjected to two egg-throwing incidents, which shows just how unpopular he is at the moment. And having Harry there may not help things.
The social media response was very clear. A significant proportion of people felt that Harry’s attendance would hinder both sides, given how much damage had been done by the Duke of Sussex’s memoir.
One person wrote: “Why is Charles desperate for Harry to attend to humiliate him again?! Stay at home Harry, your son comes first.” Time will tell if Harry does end up attending.
