While he was resuscitated, things aren’t going well as far as the medical bills are concerned. In a new update, his wife says that Graham’s insurance won’t cover his stay in a rehabilitation center which runs $200 per day.
A GoFundMe was set up in hopes that donations can help alleviate the financial pressure of caring for the legend. As far as an update on the medical situation, Coleman said that the issue was caused by a problem with a PICC line—a tube that is usually placed in the arm of people suffering from severe cardiovascular issues.
Billy Graham required two surgeries to correct the problem but he’s as stable as possible now. Also, Coleman reported that Graham has recovered some hearing but must shout closely to him.
“Yes, I have to talk loudly and very, very close to his ears, but he can hear me for the first time in almost 2 months. I am so grateful and blessed to have you al in my life.”
Graham was a former WWE Champion from the WWWF days of the promotion. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2004 and the Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum in 2009 as part of the Television Era class.
Currently, the GoFundMe campaign sits at a little over $3,000 of a $25,000 goal.
