When Royal Rumble winner Rhea Ripley would choose to challenge for the Smackdown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 39 – Bianca Belair suddenly lacked a clear path to the show. Tonight however, she finds out who she will defend the RAW Women’s Championship against at WrestleMania. Asuka, Carmella, Natalya, Nikki Cross, Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez will all enter the Elimination Chamber – with the winner getting the title shot at WrestleMania. Aside from Raquel, all are former women’s champions on the main roster – making this an extremely hard match to call.
Liv Morgan & Natalya Have A Long Path To Victory Tonight
Asuka, Carmella, Raquel and Cross would start this match locked inside the pods of the Elimination Chamber, meaning Natalya & Liv Morgan start this match – giving them a long road to victory tonight. Morgan did the same in the Royal Rumble, lasting an hour before being eliminated – proving her stamina. Natalya would take Morgan to the mat with a headlock, with Morgan able to fight free – finding her footing and shoving Natalya off.
Natalya went for a rear waist lock, only to take an elbow to the face. Morgan would take this match to the steel floor between the pods, whipping Natalya face first into the cage before a jumping knee drop. Natalya had her head shoved through the chains, before she was able to whip Morgan into the pod of Cross, and the crowd chanted for her to do it one more time. As Natalya choked Morgan using the chains, the pod of Raquel would open.
With Morgan recovering outside of the ring, Raquel would go after Natalya before Morgan rushed in and was whipped hard into the turnbuckles. Natalya would be thrown into Morgan, before a jumping splash from Raquel. Fallaway Slams would follow, sending Natalya and Morgan across the ring. Back out of the ring, Natalya was driven into the chains once again before a Sunset Flip sent Raquel into the steel.
Back in the ring, Natalya would look for the Sharpshooter, with Morgan able to twist into a pinfall for two. Oblivion was blocked, with Raquel catching Liv before Natalya hit a neckbreaker. Cross was the next to be freed from the pod, still wearing her ring jacket as she rushed everyone in the ring with splashes. Raquel would look for the spear in the corner, but Cross avoided – sending Raquel into the ring post.
A Double Submission Means Elimination
Morgan missed an enziguri on Cross before being whipped into one of the empty pods. Raquel would be driven into the chains face first by Cross, before having her face pressed into Carmella’s pod. Cross would proceed to climb up onto the pod, finally taking her jacket off before diving off the pod onto Natalya, Morgan & Raquel. The next pod would open, sending Carmella into the match – meaning Asuka was last.
Carmella would try to pin both Morgan & Natalya, only getting a two count. Cross would go after Carmella who would hide back in her pod. Raquel would pick up Cross and drive her through the glass wall of the pod, with Carmella barely avoiding this. Back in the ring, Cross would be pinned and eliminated by Raquel. Flying Codebreaker from Morgan would land on Raquel, before she would climb to the top of Asuka’s pod.
Natalya would battle with Raquel in the corner, with Raquel fighting Natalya off only for Morgan to leap off the pod into a Code Red. Carmella was quick to make the pinfall, but only got two. Asuka would enter the match and go right after Carmella – who was taunting her earlier. Swift strikes would be followed by the sliding kick to the face, before a Snap German Suplex.
Asuka would come face to face with Raquel, and applied the Flying Octopus Stretch – with Raquel able to fight free. Morgan hit a flying dropkick on Asuka, before Oblivion was blocked by Carmella. Natalya would lock in the Sharpshooter on Morgan, and Asuka would add in an armbar, causing Morgan to pass out and be eliminated.
Asuka Is Going To WrestleMania
Asuka would look for the Asuka Lock on Natalya, who would block and apply the Sharpshooter. Carmella would break the hold up with a superkick, and pinned Natalya moments later. Raquel would look for the powerbomb on Asuka, but Carmella broke this up. A series of kicks and a double pin later from Asuka & Carmella would take Raquel out of the match.
Carmella would realize that victory was in sight, hitting a superkick on Asuka for a two count. The next superkick would be blocked into an Ankle Lock. Asuka would be rolled into a pinfall, with The Asuka Lock following – leaving Carmella no chance but to tap out. At WrestleMania 39 it will be Bianca Belair vs. Asuka for the RAW Women’s Championship.
