Much like when WrestleMania took place in Hollywood in 2005 – WWE is intending to put some of their biggest stars in parody style movie trailers for WrestleMania 39. In 2005 we saw parodies of Pulp Fiction, Braveheart and more, as the likes of John Cena, JBL, Triple H, Booker T and more showed off their acting skills. WWE is set to tape the 2023 parodies soon – with the superstars and movies having leaked.
The Bloodline, Rhea Ripley And More Set To Show Their Acting Skills
Reports indicate that the following talent will be involved in parodies.
- Miz & Maryse: Top Gun
- Rhea Ripley & Judgment Day: Stranger Things
- Brawling Brutes & Drew McIntyre: 40 Year Old Virgin
- Becky & Seth Rollins: Batman & Joker
- The Bloodline: Goodfellas
The best fit here is going to be The Bloodline finally getting to go full mafia for a Goodfellas parody. With the success of Top Gun Maverick in 2022, a Top Gun parody is fairly timely, as is a Stranger Things parody with The Judgement Day. These will be good fun if nothing else, simply a fun extra for WrestleMania 39 – and hopefully a sign this will happen each time WrestleMania hits Hollywood. It is unclear if this is the full list of parodies – or if more are planned. Sadly a McMahon parody of Succession is a bit too on the nose for WWE in 2023.
