Who Will Join The Reach For The Sky Ladder Match?
The biggest things to come from this weeks episode is the set up for Riho joining the feud against Storm, Soho & Saraya, and the Reach for the Sky ladder match.
Riho has now won three straight TV matches, and the inaugural AEW Women’s World Champion remains as popular as ever. Despite her frequent absences from AEW TV, Riho is always welcomed by fans. Her uniting with Jamie Hayter & Britt Baker to fight this new threat to the division is a nice turn for the storyline.
When it comes to the ladder match, we will be seeing teams qualify on AEW TV. ROH TV has already been taped to take us up to Supercard of Honor. Lucha Bros have started the field. We expect it to contain five teams – possibly six. FTR are busy going after the AEW World Tag Team Champions, making them unlikely to be in the mix.
Mark Briscoe could find a partner and get involved, with Hiroshi Tanahashi of NJPW a strong option. The Kingdom seem like a sure deal – being former ROH World Tag Team Champions. Top Flight have also found a spot on the ROH roster and fit into any ladder match perfectly.
