‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers here and we’re set to keep things moving with some fun spoilers goodies to share. There’s some interesting character building moments coming in this episode, and we’re curious how they’ll work out.
There’s always a chance common sense will prevail in some cases, but that would make things too easy, so we’re ready with some popcorn for a good family argument.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Thursday, March 9: Another Abbott fight
One good thing is it looks like Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will get a day off from arguing with Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) over Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters).
Yep, Diane’s at the middle of yet another argument, but this time it probably won’t be a copy and paste scene like the last dozen arguments about her, and we’re grateful for that.
Instead of Jack and Ashley butting heads, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will defend Diane and Ashley will try to understand why and change his mind.
For Billy, it comes down to giving people second, third, fourth, and more chances just as he’s been given. Then there are the rest of the denizens of Genoa City who have done as bad or worse than Diane.
Ashley will remain snug and comfy in her corner of blind Diane hatred and ignore pretty much of everything Billy will have to say, but there is a chance he’ll get through to her.
Where Jack and Ashley’s talks have become shouting matches, Billy’s approach may be the way to get through to her and get Ashley to accept that people can change. Though that will be a long shot.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Thursday, March 9: Chelsea dives in
With so much change in the air, Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) will take the next step in her rebuilding herself when she goes to work on her game with OmegaSphere.
It’s an interesting concept and will share the importance of Chelsea’s message about never giving up and finding a way, but it doesn’t feel like the type of game that would be popular or even work for many.
In the day and age of blowing things up in games, her idea, and Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei)’s concept in general, flies in the face of current trend.
But with some suspension of disbelief, this has potential to be an interesting storyline if the writers actually do more than share news second hand.
They could show some of the gamer characters playing the game and talking about how it affects them in storyline, but that’s tricky to pull off.
Will Billy get Ashley to open up and understand the need for second chances? Let us know in the comments below and check back with ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation.
