If you ask someone what makes a good entrance in professional wrestling – you’re going to find a few different common answers.

A good recognized song for fans to react to is the first big ingredient – but once the wrestler is out from behind the curtain, a good entrance becomes a spectacle.

No stage is better for a spectacle than WrestleMania, and while Rhodes won’t be rappelling down from the rafters like Shawn Michaels – he intends to bring the heat.

Cody Rhodes Hopes For The Biggest Display Of Pyro Ever Done In WWE

While speaking with Amy Nemmity of WrestleJoy – Rhodes would be asked how pyro that fans can expect for his entrance at WrestleMania 39. Rhodes would say we could be looking at a record setting amount of pyro.

“Oh my gosh. I would have to say, you want to go with the latter, go with the greatest. At this point, I’m gonna be honest, I never asked anybody for pyro. Even in AEW when I was running things, I never asked anybody for pyro, and then it became like a running gag, the amount of pyro, and now it’s not even that, it’s just part of the experience. It’s like the fireworks at Magic Kingdom. You know, this happens at this time and they legit blow up the sky. I think with a WrestleMania on the west coast, in Hollywood, it’s the biggest display that’s ever been done involving a ring. I don’t think greatest can even cover it. I really don’t. I think you’re looking at a record-setting amount of pyro. ”

The entrance to beat in this category is Kevin Nash in WCW ahead of the infamous Fingerpoke of Doom, which leaned on parody in terms of amount of pyro.

WrestleMania is the perfect stage to try to top this – especially with Rhodes in the main event match of the whole weekend.

For those unaware, Rhodes won the 2023 Royal Rumble match and will face Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, hoping to end the 900+ day reign in the process.

Will Rhodes leave WrestleMania 39 as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.

A wrestling fan practically since birth, who has been hooked since he got his first toy wrestling ring for Christmas as a child. Since getting access to the internet, he's watched more wrestling than he could ever remember from all around the world. It's hard to keep track of what happens in the wild world of professional wrestling, but he always tries to stay up to date. Note: No relation to Tully Blanchard of Four Horsemen fame (probably).
