Prince Andrew’s attempts to re-enter the Royal Family have been met with a suggestion that King Charles III should remove him from the family circle.
Prince Andrew Slammed For Trying To Get Back Into Royal Life-‘He Should Be Serving A Long Period Of Silence’
This comes after the prince’s controversial past and disgraceful behavior. In 2019, Andrew resigned as an active member of the British Royal Family after being accused of sexual misconduct, which he denied.
As a result, Queen Elizabeth II removed several of his titles. And yet, the Duke of York will be wearing his ermine robes for the Royal Victorian Order celebration, as it is one of his ceremonial roles that the late Queen did not assume.
This order has been in existence for 127 years. Norman Baker, a former member of Parliament and current member of the Privy Council, has expressed disapproval of Prince Andrew’s efforts to re-enter public life.
He said: “Prince Andrew is going to any length possible to worm his way back into public life. The only order he should be given is the order of the boot.
“He is simply being allowed to play dressing up as a royal for the day when really he should be serving a long period of silence.”
According to a source within the royal family, Prince Andrew is angry with his brother King Charles for not informing him about certain aspects of the Coronation ceremony.
The Duke of York will not be involved in the ceremony, which Andrew sees as a sign of disrespect from his brother. On May 6th, 2023, during the King’s coronation, a specific day called “Collar Day” will be observed.
This allows the members of the Order of the Garter to wear their regalia and collar that represents the British orders of knighthood they are a part of.
According to a source close to the royal family, Andrew may be instructed to wear a lounge suit for the Coronation ceremony, following his removal from the position of Colonel of the Grenadier Guards.
The source also revealed that Andrew is unaware of his current role and what attire he should wear for the ceremony. The following comments confirmed as much: “Andrew is furious.
“He’s already not playing a part and now he feels he is being disrespected and dictated to over something he is fully entitled to (wear).”
