Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have formed an alliance with an organization that seeks to challenge traditional notions of boyhood by promoting the idea of gender fluidity.

Archewell and Archetypes, the organizations of Harry and Meghan, have partnered with the Global Boyhood Initiative. This group aims to encourage positive masculinity in boys and men and promote gender equality.
According to a report titled ‘The State of UK Boys’, families have the potential to shape their children’s gender roles and identities, and can even do so before the child is born. The report suggests that parents can act as ‘gender factories’ by enacting certain gender-specific behaviors and expectations.
The report stated the following: “Parents may begin gendering their children even before birth based on the identification of external genitalia in scans, including through elaborate ‘gender reveal’ parties and a stream of purchases along gender lines.”
The group has expressed its intention to question the use of the phrase ‘boys will be boys’ because it may encourage and normalize violent conduct among boys, which could be harmful.
In the previous year, the group created a curriculum that is currently in the trial phase in London schools. This curriculum advises primary school children on how to challenge traditional gender expectations.
According to reports, the group aims to have their educational plan included in schools nationwide as part of relationships and sex education courses.
The program will cover topics such as ‘gender norms’ and how they shape various aspects of daily life, and will be geared towards children aged 7 to 11.
The response on social media was outrage. Large numbers of people were of the view that the organization was not in the best interests of children since it could be seen as influencing the next generation of kids, without considering the consideration of the parents.
Meanwhile, others began to bash the couple in general. One person wrote: “He shouldn’t claim to be a royal and publicly express political views.
“He clearly hasn’t understood his mentoring when he was younger,” while another person stated: “Adults who think they know better, should stop interfering in the world of childhood, their confusing messages do more harm than good.”
