According to reports, Prince Harry is making a strong effort to acquire a private island, which is an unexpected addition to Sussex’s real estate holdings.
Prince Harry Is Reportedly Keen On Getting A Private Island-‘The Situation Is Rapidly Becoming Uncomfortable’
The recent news about Meghan and Harry being ‘evicted’ from Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, England has sparked discussions about their future residence outside their primary home in Montecito.
King Charles III may provide the couple with a private apartment in Buckingham Palace, but it is suggested that they are more inclined towards having their own private island.
A source from Heat magazine claimed that Harry is eager to explore the idea of living in an eco-friendly and natural environment and is pushing for a private island.
This will not be used as a vacation spot but instead will serve as their primary home as they plan to permanently move there. A source said: “The situation is rapidly becoming uncomfortable to the point of untenable.
“There are talks of keeping base in LA and heading somewhere new like Canada, South Africa, or one of the other countries where they have more popularity and public sympathy.”
After leaving their royal duties, Meghan and Harry have made their permanent home in Montecito, California, where they reside in a mansion that costs $14.7 million.
In addition, they have previously experienced island life when they visited Kaibu Island, situated off the coast of Fiji. During their royal tour in 2018, they stayed at Vatuvara resort on the island. And this may be why the pair are exploring this option.
The response on social media was clear. A certain subset of people questioned these claims on the basis that the couple have shown a tendency to seek the limelight which would be counter to what a private island would offer.
One person wrote: “Right…. the two people that demand attention are suddenly willing to live privately on an island.”
