Yesterday was one of the biggest days in WWE history. The company was merged with Endevor, the parent company of the UFC. This $9.3 billion dollar deal came with Vince McMahon being able to regain more control within WWE, after he stepped down from his role as head of creative in 2022.

Last night, while Triple H was supposed to stay in charge of the creative direction of WWE – Monday Night RAW saw some familiar chaos as Vince re-wrote the episode at the last minute.

Vince McMahon Stepped Back Into Old Role For Biggest Episode Of Monday Night RAW Of The year

Several matches and segments were cut from Monday Night RAW at the last minute, a trademark of Vince McMahon run shows. Notably, Bayley was supposed to have a match on Monday Night RAW, with that being cut just before the show went to air.

A backstage segment with Bad Bunny & the recently reformed Latino World Order was also cut, as was a brief backstage segment featuring Cody Rhodes.

Last minute changes like these were happening weekly when Vince McMahon was directly running Monday Night RAW – and rarely happened under Triple H.

Despite Vince claiming that he would not be getting involved in the day to day running of WWE, last nights episode showed a much different story. Reports indicate he took his usual spot in the Gorilla position – where Triple H was supposed to be all night.

An Instant Morale Drop, Main Event Names Ready To Request Release From Company?

Given that WWE under Triple H saw a massive morale boost, last nights chaos showed how fast things could change. Reports of morale dropping have already come out, with a few currently unnamed wrestlers saying that they will request their release from the company if this becomes the usual once again.

One of those wrestlers was said to be a main event level talent, which is a worrying spot for WWE to be in.

Changes were expected as this new era of WWE began, but it seems that instead of forging a new path into the future – Vince McMahon is simply relying on his old tricks.

Even the coming storyline between Cody Rhodes & Brock Lesnar is a blatant rehash of John Cena & Brock Lesnar from 11 years ago – with no new ground expected to be covered.

Since getting access to the internet, he's watched more wrestling than he could ever remember from all around the world. It's hard to keep track of what happens in the wild world of professional wrestling, but he always tries to stay up to date. Note: No relation to Tully Blanchard of Four Horsemen fame (probably).
