With WrestleMania 39 in the books, fans are quickly deciding what the best matches were. While The Usos vs. Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens and Rhea Ripley vs. Charlotte Flair are neck and neck for the top spot, another match from WrestleMania Saturday is close behind.
Seth Rollins & Logan Paul had some of the most buzz coming into their match – and they came very close to stealing the show with their encounter. Paul can’t say it’s his best match to date – something which he strives to say about each match.
Logan Paul Constantly Tries To Top His Last Match
While speaking on the ImPaulsive podcast, Paul would describe how he feels about his WrestleMania 39 match – and how he felt it was simply on par with his match against Roman Reigns from 2022.
“I thought beforehand, for sure, it was gonna be my best match, and then afterwards, I just didn’t feel like that. I felt like it was good. It was on par, it wasn’t a level down. But I notice it’s getting harder and harder every time to make these matches better. When I’m picking an opponent and I’m at the bottom of this mountain, trying to build what I want to be an amazing, entertaining match, man, these mountains are getting higher and higher, and it’s terrifying, and incredibly complicated. I don’t know I’m going to keep doing this and upping the bar every time. That’s my challenge in this. But it’s so much fun because I’m gonna have to get more creative, I’m gonna have to go a little harder. Gotta go bigger,”
Looking to continuously top your last match is a hard task for anyone in professional wrestling – especially for someone who only works a few matches each year.
His first three matches showed a clear upward trend, but even with someone as respected as Seth Rollins as his opponent – he had a hard task ahead of him. They had one of the best matches of the weekend, but Paul might need to keep trying to top his match against Roman Reigns.
