Recently, we would see Jeff Hardy make his return to the ring in AEW. Gone from TV following a DUI in 2022, Hardy would spend the last year trying to get his life back on track – and was able to come back in perhaps the best shape of his career.
However, some fans remains sceptical of this return – as this is a familiar song and dance to those who have followed Jeff’s career, which is full of ups and downs. His brother Matt Hardy is urging fans to give Jeff a chance to make them believers.
Jeff Hardy Just Needs A Chance To Make Fans Believe
On the latest episode of the Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast – Matt would say that Jeff has been putting in the work over the past ten months to get clean. Jeff simply needs a chance to make fans believe in him once again.
“This is the most work I’ve ever seen him do on himself. He had ten months. He seems different. He seems different. I don’t want to sit here and vouch for him, I don’t want you to take my word for it or take anyone else’s word for it. Watch him and follow his actions. He’ll make you a believer. I am confident that his actions, conduct, and behavior will make people a believer. He’s made me a believer. I’ve seen a lot of him and gotten to follow his journey and I know the work he’s put in and how dedicated he’s been to legitimately changing and trying to get his shit together once and for all. I’m so extraordinarily proud of him. He’s done great.”
This feels like the final chance for Jeff Hardy in professional wrestling, and a final tag team run with Matt is the reason he came to AEW in the first place.
There is a lot of money in a strong nostalgia run from these two, and we only got faint glimmers of that the first time around. We will have to see how things pan out – and hopefully we are able to see them create magic a few more times.
