In 2022, one of the biggest stories in WWE was the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions walking out of the company. Sasha Banks & Naomi weren’t happy with WWE due to broken promises and poor booking as champions, and would chose to leave the company.
Banks popped up in New Japan Pro Wrestling and Stardom – with Naomi having recently made her return to the ring at the latest Impact Wrestling tapings.
Naomi Saw WWE Exit As Chance To Grow As Professional Wrestler
Speaking to NBC Chicago, former WWE Women’s Champion Naomi would speak about how her WWE exit has allowed her to grow as a professional wrestler. Now known by the name Trinity Fatu, she had the following to say.
“I’ve been wrestling 14 years now, and then one day everything, everything just changed. And I felt like my whole world was turned upside down and things were shuffled around. It took a little time to just process everything and really sort out what I want to do, where I want to be. I feel like it was a blessing in disguise. I feel that it’s allowed me to to grow and become better in every way, in every aspect. Show me how strong I really am. And now I’ve got this new journey ahead of me, these new goals, and I’m excited and ready to step into this new chapter.”
Trinity Fatu Glad To Be Back In The Ring With Impact Wrestling
During the same interview, Trinity had a chance to speak about her debut in Impact Wrestling – saying the following.
“Being back in wrestling and being with my pack in a place where I feel so welcome and just for the opportunity and just receiving all the love, it was very, very overwhelming. And I really felt it in my heart like I really did. I couldn’t even hide the emotion.”
