At WrestleMania 39 – we saw some mixed results for The Bloodline. The Usos failed to retain the Unified WWE Tag Team Championships against Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens to close out WrestleMania Saturday.
Meanwhile, Roman Reigns was able to shut down the challenge of Cody Rhodes to close out WrestleMania Sunday – with a lot of help from The Bloodline. However, Reigns still feels like The Bloodline are doing their job – which is elevating their opponents.
The Bloodline Is The High Tide Of WWE, It Raises All The Ships
While speaking with Ariel Helwani ahead of WrestleMania 39 – Reigns would say that The Bloodline is just a high tide lifting all the ships in WWE.
We’ve been together so long, there is so much chemistry there. It was just an obvious fit. Then we went to work. You find the people you can trust, you find the people you can rely on. I had that since day one with Paul. I knew I had that with Jey, I knew once Jimmy came back we had that with him as well.
Solo was a pleasant surprise, but we’ve always had our finger on him and guided him along the way. To bring him up, it was such a perfect fit, he’s done such a great job. If we can’t lift everybody up, then we aren’t what we say we are. The high tide lifts all the ships.
Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens Rise Was Linked To Roman Reigns & The Bloodline
With the recent rise of Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens being directly related to their feud with The Bloodline – it’s hard to deny they have a case there. However, looking at others who have slipped down the card after their involvement against The Bloodline like Drew McIntyre shows a different tale.
The Bloodline when used right is an easy way to launch a babyface act to the next level, but it needs to be used right. It’s yet to be seen if Rhodes will benefit from The Bloodline in the end, as his story is really just getting going.
Another way to look at Reigns comments is that The Bloodline is helping WWE to big business – which everyone in the company benefits from in the end.
