There are few names who have left the world of professional wrestling for acting and have found as much success as Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. One of the biggest names in Hollywood, The Rock is someone more known for acting in blockbusters than his work as a professional wrestler.
However, a love for professional wrestling is in his bloodline, and a return match is always possible – and an old foe in Kurt Angle feels he could still go the distance in a match.
Kurt Angle Praises Physical Condition Of The Rock
While speaking on The Kurt Angle Show, Angle would praise the physical shape and dedication to keeping his body fresh.
“He really trains hard, and he has been able to keep his body young and active. When you watch him train, he does a lot of not just weight training and stuff, he does a lot of plyometrics and stuff like that. I believe that he could still wrestle. I believe if he wants to do it, he could put in a good 30-minute match at WrestleMania. I don’t doubt that for a second. He’s able to take care of his body as much as he has lately. I don’t see it being a problem for him.”
Fans Still Want To See Match With Roman Reigns
There has been a lot of talk of The Rock returning to the ring for a match with his cousin, Roman Reigns. Reigns is the current WWE Universal Champion, quickly approaching 1000 days as champion. His current character in WWE is being the leader of The Bloodline, a faction of family members – calling himself The Head of The Table.
One man who could very easily challenge Reigns for that position is The Rock, being the most successful member of the family on a global level. This makes a match with Reigns extremely easy to set up in WWE – and fan demand for this match is unlikely to die down anytime soon.
