‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers are all set to see how badly the Abbotts will be torn apart in the coming days with the current trajectory continues as we expect.
There’s plenty of toxicity going around in the Abbott family lately, and it’s all due to a couple of people unable and unwilling to let go of their hate over past grievances.
This is what makes stories fun since no one fights dirtier than family members with each other, and today looks like it’s going to be the start of a glorious civil war.

‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Ashley starts her exodus
Few have been as infuriating toward one another than Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) over the last several months, and it looks like things are only going to get dicier.
It looks like Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson)’s warning may be too late to head off Ashley’s coup attempt for Jabot, but that doesn’t mean Jack’s time is over.
Since Ashley’s entire basis for removing him will be him splitting time between the company and supporting/defending Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) it shouldn’t be too hard for him to prove he’s remained in control.
But there’s the fact, as Billy mentioned, that Jack might not have put out the best optics for the head of the company, and if someone, say Ashley, hadn’t jumped in when she thought she needed to things could be different.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Not what she planned
Of course, that’s her perspective. It was an argument she and Billy had over the company’s press release about Diane.
Since Ashley can’t let go of her hate for her and is convinced she killed Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), she’ll hammer that point home and it’ll force Jack to tell everyone that Phyllis faked her death.
Ashley will try to spin it like he’s raving, and in the end everyone will have to decide which part of the Abbott family they’re going to side with.
Worse yet, once it is proven Phyllis is alive, then Ashley may be writing her exit from the Abbott family with her actions.
This is probably not what she envisioned, but what’s most likely going to happen. It’s going to be a drag out fight between brother and sister and it doesn’t have to be.
Ashley won’t listen to what Jack’s saying, and he’s at his wits end with her constant attacks on Diane.
Or course, there’s another possibility that Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) steps in and buys the company’s stock during the turmoil so he can hand it to Ashley.
That would be an interesting twist.
