‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers here and we’re set to keep things rolling with some fun spoilery goodies to share.
This looks like it’s going to be a fun episode as we get some more character building along with a couple of twists that should prove interesting down the line. With plenty to unpack, let’s dive into some spoilers!
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Tuesday, May 23: Playing both ends
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is doing everything thing he can to bring his family together. The only problem is trying to hammer a square peg into a round hole never works, and we don’t see it working out well for him this time either.
Granted, he didn’t set out to have Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) at each other’s throats again, but he had to know it was going to happen.
Their dislike for one another is only rivaled by their rivalry to prove who is Victor’s better offspring.
It’s a rivalry he’s fostered as much as he could, and now he can’t understand why they’re unable or unwilling to lay their differences aside.
Victor’s going to continue to play his role well as he’ll continue to try to talk them out of taking each other out, while giving warnings to each side to see how they’ll react.
First up is Adam, and he’ll happily tell him that Victoria’s expecting him to try something because he’s predictable and reacts emotionally. It’ll lead to another attempt by him to convince Adam to do things his way, but Adam will refuse.
Next week, Victor will probably warn Victoria and the manipulation games will get fully underway. With Victor crying he only wants them to get along like the dysfunctional family he created.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Tuesday, May 23: Chance hits an obstacle
If Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) thought he was getting grief for his lackadaisical detective work before — don’t get us started on NO ONE checking Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford)’s dental records — he’s really in for it when he learns his investigation is being sabotaged.
This leads “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers to think someone did something to the evidence or his files, but most likely it’ll involve him being told to investigate the possibility that Phyllis is alive. Again.
Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) won’t like having her instructions ignored, and we suspect she’ll be the roadblock to him doing what he wants to, and that should create some friction and push him further from wanting to be part of the police.
Guess he never realized before that the world is mostly gray and not black and white. Rough wake up call for him, but it was bound to happen at some point.
