Bianca Belair has been untouchable as WWE RAW Women’s Championship, even able to stop a very motivated Asuka at WrestleMania 39. Tonight however, she faces someone finally ready to show her singles skills on the WWE main roster.
Iyo Sky dominated the NXT Women’s division after being signed, and was one of the biggest names in Japan before then. Tonight, Sky has as good a chance of taking down Belair – and won’t be taking her first chance to win this belt lightly. Should Belair retain – she will be the longest reigning women’s champion of the modern era.
The EST Of WWE vs. The Genius Of The Sky
Sky would lock up with Belair, and was able to hold her own against the power of Belair before having her wrist snatched. The crowd in Puerto Rico was behind Sky early, as she was taken to the mat with a side headlock takeover.
Sky would battle free into a headscissor, with Belair able to counter – before running Sky down with a stiff shoulder tackle.
Sky would go for a Victory Roll, with Belair rolling right into the corner before jumping over Io with a moonsault – and nailing a dropkick. Belair would his some quick scoop slams, flaunting her power edge. Sky would manage to get some strikes to send Belair into the corner, before hitting a double stomp to the elbow.
Continuing to work on the arm, Sky would hammerlock the arm of Belair before tossing her into the corner. Sky would again stomp the arm of Belair on the mat, and damage to the arm will cut the power game of Belair out of the picture.
Belair would use her good arm to hit a back elbow, before looking for the Glam Slam – with Sky countering, rolling Belair to the mat and hitting a double stomp.
Sky & Belair would trade right hands in the middle of the ring, with Belair missing a lariat – but blocking a headscissor takedown into a major backbreaker.
Belair hit some downward punched into the corner, before a one armed military press and back handspring moonsault for a near fall. Sky would rally back and run over the ropes for an armbreaker – before a springboard dropkick for a near fall.
Damage CTRL Hit The Ringside Area, Bianca Belair Nails The KOD
Belair would regain control and slam Sky down before the 450 Splash was countered – allowing Sky to apply a crossface. Sky was unable to maintain the submission as Belair would lift her into a powerbomb, but countered with a facebuster for the near fall. KOD was set, but Sky counterted and sent Belair to the floor.
Belair would attempt something with the ropes, with Sky able to dodge and nail a stiff kick before a moonsault from the top rope.
Back into the ring, Belair would set up a top rope powerbomb, which was still not enough to keep Sky down. Damage CTRL would come to ringside to support Sky, with Bayley holding Belair in place by her braid for a moonsault.
The referee would notice this, causing Belair to have a chance to avoid the Moonsault. Belair would quickly hit the KOD – and would continue her reign as champion. Sky had the match well in control – and could well have walked away as champion if not for Bayley & Kai.
Seth Rollins Slays A Giant
The WWE Draft has shaken up the foundations of the roster, but one man remains a free agent. Omos & MVP are free to travel from brand to brand, and tonight intends to set himself up well. He is facing one of RAW’s top draft picks in Seth Rollins, and a victory tonight could be huge for either man.
We’re about to enter the tournament to crown the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion, and a victory tonight will set up Rollins or Omos for a potential history making run.
Omos would attack Rollins before the bell, booting him in the face while Rollins soaked in the crowd singing his theme. Rollins would find his feet before being run down with a shoulder tackle.
Omos would be hit with a jawbreaker using the top rope, before cutting Rollins from the sky during a springboard attempt with a punch.
Rollins would take a chokeslam on the apron, before this match returned to the ring. Omos was cut down with some kicks before Rollins attempted a pedigree, only to be sent flying with a back body drop. A tornado DDT would put Omos down for a frog splash, getting a one count.
Rolling elbow would land, before Rollins came off the middle rope with an elbow to the neck. Curb Stomp was blocked by the sheer size of Omos, before the Chokeslam landed.
Rollins was able to kick out at two, and locked in the sleeper hold. The Stomp would land, with Rollins following up with a second stomp – which was not enough to keep Omos down. Rollins would head up top, and hit a Flying Curb Stomp for the victory.
