On the current roster, there are some names who are destined to find themselves in the Hall of Fame. The Miz is absolutely in this category, being one of the most decorated champions around.
He’s won World Championships, he’s defeated John Cena in the main event of WrestleMania, and more. However – lately he’s been feeling a lack of respect, and has blown up after a recent attack from Tommaso Ciampa.
The Miz Tears Into Tommaso Ciampa, Calls Out A Lack Of Respect
Appearing on RAW Talk – The Miz would address the lack of respect he gets from the locker room, and in particular from the former NXT Champion.
“Ciampa confronted me? He sucker-punched me. I had my arms wide open. My good buddy, my good friend Tommaso Ciampa is back in WWE. Give me a hug, buddy. He sucker-punches me.
That’s the thanks I get for everything I’ve done for him? For all the opportunities I’ve given him? He’s mad that I didn’t call him? ‘Oh, he didn’t call me. He didn’t text me.’ Boo freaking hoo. I don’t call anybody. You call me. We were just in Cleveland, my hometown. You think I called any of my friends that I went to high school, my long-time friends? No. I don’t call them. They call me. They want to hang out with me. I’m the superstar. Do we understand that?
Put some respect on my name. I am tired of the lack of respect that I get. I’m the two-time Grand Slam Champion. What’s he done? Granted, he is an immense talent. There is no denying the talent that he has. But he has not done it here in WWE. I’m the veteran. Anything else? No. Because you don’t matter. I matter.”
The Miz has been set up for a run after some crushing losses throughout the year. Having lost back to back matches at WrestleMania 39, including one to Snoop Dogg – he’s got a bone to pick.
A feud with a fan favorite in Tommaso Ciampa will potentially give him some of his best matches to date, and will likely see Ciampa get some wins over a former World Champion.
