When it comes to future top stars in WWE, there are few with more potential than Bron Breakker. The son of WWE Hall of Famer Rick Steiner, Breakker was an instant star on the NXT brand – quickly defeating Tommaso Ciampa to win the NXT Championship. Since then, he’s appeared to fans as both a hero and a villain, but Breakker feels much more comfortable with the latter.
Bron Breakker Is Better Suited To Being A Heel, Finds It Much More Natural
While appearing on Busted Open Radio, Bron Breakker would speak on his heel persona – which he debutted following his loss to Carmelo Hayes at NXT Stand & Deliver earlier this year. Breakker had the following to say.
“I think this is just more natural for me, to be honest with you. It just fits me a whole lot better. I don’t have to be a character or get into character. This is more natural and who I am. I’m having a lot of fun. When I was the NXT Champion, towards the end of the long run that I had, people started to turn on me and change their tune when I came out. It’s tough. I felt reserved, like I’m holding this back. I can’t really describe it. Finally, I was like, ‘screw it. I’m done caring what these people think of me, whether they like me, whether they don’t, I’m going to do whatever I want and that’s it.'”
Bron Breakker is about to enter the biggest match of his career, facing Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. This will happen on June 20th, during the NXT Gold Rush special. The tournament that Rollins won to become the first ever NXT Champion back in 2012 was the Gold Rush tournament, making it fitting for Rollins return to the brand.
