Miro is perhaps more dangerous than he’s ever been in AEW – having stepped away from being God’s Favorite Champion, and battling for his own purposes.
Regardless of his motivations, the former TNT Champion is a force to be reckoned with. Miro has been unstoppable since his return to the company earlier this year – and that’s unlikely to change tonight.
Nick Comoroto Tries To Get The Jump On Miro
Nick Comoroto would be chosen as his opponent, someone who can match the power of Miro. Comoroto would get the jump on Miro as he made his way to the ring, and drove him into the ring steps. In the ring, the bell would ring before Comoroto hit a snap Death Valley Driver for a one count.
Miro would be driven into the corner, before a jumping splash would land. Comoroto would be unable to keep the offence coming, and Miro would run him down with the running superkick.
Game Over would be locked in, with Miro cranking back on the back of Comoroto and forcing him to submit. Comoroto had the right idea, but it was not enough to secure a victory.
House Of Black Shut Down The Acclaimed Once Again
House of Black have been clear that they will face any challenger brave enough to face them under House Rules. You need to enter their world, and try to defeat the best trio of wrestlers in AEW. The Acclaimed & Billy Gunn have previously challenged, but fell short.
This would not dampen their spirits however, with Max Caster & Anthony Bowens promising to make Billy Gunn a champion for one last time in his career. Tonight, they take their second chance – with more wind behind their sails, and an idea on how to survive the House of Black.
Matthews would rush down Caster during his entrance rap, kicking this match off with a brawl. Black went after Bowens and King after Gunn, while Matthews pulled Caster into the ring. Gunn was crushed into the barricade with a running crossbody, with Bowens suffering the same fate.
House of Black would isolate and break down Caster in the ring, with Black landing a big knee to the jaw. The Acclaimed would be in trouble, as Caster took a running senton from King.
Caster would get a lucky elbow strike on Matthews, and Bowens was fired up on the apron – with Caster jumping to the tag. He was a second late, as King pulled Bowens off the apron.
Gunn would take the place of Bowens on the apron, and got the tag. The tag team legend would show his hot tag, throwing big hands at Black & Matthews before King ran him down with a lariat. Black would hit The End, and Gunn was pinned by House of Black once again.
After the match, Gunn would undo his boots in the ring – and left them in the middle. He would walk to the back, shoving The Acclaimed off – and this could signal the end of his legendary career.
