Impact Wrestling Slammiversary Results returned as the introductions were made, and Tom Hanifan pointed out it’s Trinity’s first match for a singles title in a year and a half and she went from facing the Queen Charlotte Flair to the Virtuosa.
They traded moves and holds early on as they jockeyed for position with Trinity going for a roll up pin Purrazzo broke by going for a Fujiwara armbar.
Trinity responded with a dropkick, and Purrazzo ducked to the floor to avoid the Rear View.
Trinity hit her with a kick and then a corkscrew over the top rope to take control, but Purrazzo jerked the ropes when she went for a slingshot and halted her momentum.

Purrazzo stomped Trinity’s left arm and hit the same arm with an uppercut prior to going for a pin attempt.
After working on Trinity’s left arm, she wrapped her up in a back hold submission more that Trinity used to get her into a pin position.
Trinity fought back and fired off some kicks and a Samoan Drop followed by a kick for a near pinfall.
Purrazzo countered a head scissors into a piledriver for a near pinfall. She then fired off a combination of moves before locking in a Fujiwara Armbar and forced Trinity to get to the ropes to break the hold.
After going back and forth, Purrazzo hit a Queen’s Gambit on the apron for a near pinfall.
Trinity fought Purrazzo off on the top rope and managed to lock in a Starstruck for the submission win.
Impact World Championship – Alex Shelley (c) vs. Nick Aldis
Shelley spit a mouthful of water into Aldis’ face to start and he hammered away, but Aldis countered with a powerbomb out of the corner and locked in a cloverleaf, but Shelley fought to reach the bottom rope to break the hold.
Aldis set his methodical pace after Shelley dropkicked his knee. He relied on his power to wear down Shelley.
He caught Shelley off the ropes and powered him into a suplex, but Shelley avoided a charge and caught Aldis’ left knee in a dragonscrew and then kicked Aldis’ right leg, then hit another dragonscrew on his left leg.

Aldis regained control and worked over Shelley on the floor by methodically slamming Shelley into the ring and apron before rolling him back into the ring.
He went for a suplex over the top rope, but Shelley blocked it and hung him up on the top rope, then leaped over the top rope to land on Aldis’ left arm on the apron.
Shelley twisted Aldis’ fingers in the turnbuckle chain and stomped on his hand on the apron and then hit a dragonscrew through the ropes and followed it with a chop block.
Aldis bought some time by catching Shelley with a clothesline and a pin attempt, and then headed to the top rope but Shelley caught him and hit a superplex.
After a back and forth, Aldis couldn’t lock in a cloverleaf when Shelley grabbed his injured fingers and snapped them.
Aldis hit a piledriver and flying elbow for a pair of near pinfalls, and then he grabbed the title belt but Shelley hit him with a kick and took the belt. The ref talked him out of using the belt and Aldis hit a low blow and a slam for another near pinfall.

Aldis grabbed the belt again, but Shelley made him drop it and DDT’d him onto the belt and hit a Shell Shock for the win.
Josh Alexander returns!
While Shelley celebrated and the show was about to end, Josh Alexander returned and came out and walked to the ring.
They stood across from each other as the fans chanted “Walking Weapon”. Josh got a mic and announced he’s back and then dropped the mic as the two talked as the show ended.
This was an awesome show and great ending. It’s awesome to have Josh back and Impact Wrestling is ready to take the next step with talent returning.
