It can be hard to not realize just how important music is to the presentation of a professional wrestler. A strong theme song gets the fans interested in a wrestler, and gets them ready to see a fight break out.
In WWE, theme songs can change a lot – with fans often sad to see some songs leave. One example of this was Tommaso Ciampa getting a new theme song in 2022, leaving fans to clamour for the return of his old song – which was something that happened recently as Ciampa returned, but even he didn’t expect this to happen.
Even Tommaso Ciampa Was Surprised To Hear ‘No One Will Survive’
While speaking with Ryan Satin on the Out of Character podcast, the former NXT Champion would detail what happened before his return to Monday Night RAW, and how his old theme song would be a surprise to even him.
“I didn’t have a clue that my music was going to be ‘No One Will Survive’ until seconds before walking out the curtain. I was going through my warm up and I said to someone, ‘What’s my music going to be?’ ‘I don’t know, I guess we should have thought about that.’ No rehearsal or anything. ‘What do you want it to be?’ ‘The new one is very good, I like it a lot, it is also very slow and fantastic when I’m a methodical heel. I do have this old NXT music that is probably better for this specific scenario where I’m going to be a surprise.’ That was the whole conversation, it was probably three minutes before I went out. Seconds before I went out, somebody did thumbs up, ‘No one will survive.’ I was amped when I heard it and the crowd reaction was so good.”
Ciampa is currently working a feud with two time WWE Champion The Miz. He is expected to reunite with #DIY partner Johnny Gargano soon in the tag team division. Prior to his injury, he challenged Lashley for the United States Championship, showing potential in the singles ranks.
