Dark Order has been having a hard time standing out in 2023. Even with wins over groups like The Elite, many feel the magic is gone – they’re not even considered for All In, the biggest AEW show of all time.
Down to just three members, Dark Order is trying to remain in the mix. Tonight, John Silver & Alex Reynolds are in tag team action against Darius Martin & Action Andretti – allowing for some honest and clean tag team wrestling.
Dark Order Shut Down Darius Martin & Action Andretti With Tag Team Control
John Silver would start the match with Action Andretti – and while they were equal in height, Silver would quickly show his power advantage.
Andretti would be forced into the corner, and Alex Reynolds would get into the ring. Reynolds would lose control as Andretti picked up the pace and tagged in Darius Martin.
A double dropkick would send Reynolds down, but Andretti missed a tag to Silver as he went for an O’Connor Roll. Reynolds would keep his knees up as Silver prepared a powerbomb, sending Andretti down hard into the knees.
Dark Order would continue to show their incredible tag team chemistry, a double drop toehold and double knee strike – perfectly in sync.
Andretti would try for a tag, but Silver would place himself in the way before a hard roundhouse kick. Dark Order would drag him back into their corner, and keep the beatdown coming. Reynolds would miss a lariat, and Andretti managed a tag to a fresh Martin.
Hitting a series of strikes to both Dark Order members, Martin was able to set up a double Tornado DDT. Reynolds took a Springboard 450 Splash from Andretti, and Silver was there to break the pinfall up. Andretti was dropped with a Pop Up Uppercut, leaving Martin alone.
The Stunner into the German Suplex from Dark Order finished with a Jackknife Pinfall – and Dark Order claimed a much needed victory.
Big Bill Crushes Another Local Hero
Ricky Starks is declaring war against AEW, and after his recent suspension for beating Ricky Steamboat with a belt, he got a managers licence.
Now with Big Bill by his side, Starks is perhaps more dangerous than ever before. Tonight, Big Bill will be in action with Starks in his corner – as they look to show just how powerful this partnership could be.
Vary Morales was the chosen opponent of Bill, and was lacking a lot of size. He’d try to use speed and dropkicks to stun Bill, only to be tossed 10 feet into the air with a Press Slam.
A modified Swinging Sidewalk Slam would have been enough for Bill to get the win, but instead – he sent Morales off the ropes for a big boot. Finally, a Sky High One Armed Chokeslam would Bill hold Morales up with ease for ten seconds, before planting him into the mat for the victory.
After the bell, Starks would make his way into the ring and grabbed a microphone. Morales reminded Starks in that match of a Young Ricky Steamboat, and that meant that Morales would get some lashes.
Bill would stomp on the hand of Morales to keep him in place while Starks used the belt, until being driven off by the referees.
Ruby Soho Lays Down The Challenge
Ruby Soho is eyeing the TBS Championship, and would make her intentions crystal clear. She has crossed pathes with the champion, and would make the formal challenge for All Out in Chicago.
While Statlander might be more than a woman, she’s less than an Outcast – and stands no chance of beating someone like Soho.
