Ricky Starks had a tough loss last week on AEW Collision, when CM Punk beat him to remain the ‘Real’ AEW World Champion. It was the legendary Ricky Steamboat who counted the pinfall, and after the bell – Starks would beat Steamboat down with a belt.
This was the second time he has disrespected a legend, having blown off Jushin ‘Thunder’ Liger when he won the Owen Hart Memorial Tournament. Tonight, he has a chance to address his vile actions, as we will hear from Ricky Starks.
Ricky Starks Is Suspended For 30 Days – Declares War On AEW
Tony Schiavone would call Starks down to the ring, who took his time for a full superstar level entrance. Starks would take off his belt, and it was the same one that was used to beat Steamboat last week.
Because of this, Starks has been handed a 30 day suspension from in-ring competition, locking him out of both All In and All Out.
Starks would say that there are consequences to actions, and Steamboat screwing Starks out of the win had the consequences.
He would explain that he knew he was going to be suspended, so got himself a manager’s licence – ensuring he remains on TV. Starks would say that fans don’t need to like him, but they will respect him.
Turning his attention to CM Punk, Starks says he can live with the loss to CM Punk – but can Punk live with a win that led to one of his heroes being beat?
Starks would declare war on AEW, and is ready to burn this company to the ground if that is what it takes to get the respect he deserves.
The Acclaimed Learn To Fight Without Daddy Ass
The Acclaimed are one man down, after the retirement of Billy Gunn. Daddy Ass left his boots in the ring after their most recent loss to House of Black – feeling he’s let his friends down.
Max Caster & Anthony Bowens will respect his wishes, but hopes he will come back at some point to be in their corner. Tonight, they return to action as they try to press on in their career – but with a hole in their hearts.
Taking on the Iron Savages (fka Bear Country), The Acclaimed had a chance to make a proper comeback – but couldn’t scissor Daddy Ass to start the proceedings.
Bowens would start with Bronson, applying a headlock before being sent off the ropes. A shoulder tackle did little to help Bowens before turning to chops. Bowens would force Bronson into the corner for a big right hand, before a tag to Caster.
Caster would hit the jumping back elbow before a dropkick, sending Bronson into a tag to Boulder. The Acclaimed would work to cut the big man town, before a step over bulldog was caught.
Boulder would also catch a crossbody from Caster, before a Samoan Drop & Fallaway Slam. Bronson would tease a standing moonsault, but instead just gave a hip drop.
Breaking The Iron Savages Down
Caster would try to get Boulder up for the FU – but was unable to do much more than be squashed. A Springboard Moonsault would miss, before Bronson would slam Caster back to the mat before a diving headbutt missed.
Iron Savages would hit a Double Chokeslam on Bowens, before the Iron Stack – with Caster making the save. Caster would hit the FU on Bronson finally, before a double Fame Asser from The Acclaimed for the win.
After the bell, Caster took the microphone and would announce The Acclaimed will be wrestling on Dynamite this Wednesday.
Even with Billy gone, they will not stop climbing back to the AEW World Tag Team Championships. They would get the crowd to cheer for Gunn, showing he’s loved around the world – and hoping he was watching.
