Grayson Waller is one of the fastest rising stars in professional wrestling right now. Having gotten his foot in the door with WWE as part of their NXT brand, Waller was able to turn a few matches on 205 Live into him sharing the ring with the likes of Edge, AJ Styles & John Cena.
Waller is someone with all the skills and determination to get to the top of WWE, and intends to be making his WrestleMania debut within his first year on the WWE main roster.
Grayson Waller Has Simple Goals In WWE – And They Include WrestleMania 40
While speaking with The Daily Ticket – Waller would be asked about his goals in WWE. The Arrogant Aussie had the following to say.
“I don’t think there is any point in having goals if they are not lofty. If you say, ‘I want to go to the gym today,’ great. I’m a WWE superstar, I can’t have simple goals. If I have simple goals as a WWE superstar, I’m just another guy. Do you want to be a WWE superstar or do you want to be a great one? There is a huge gap between that.
With WrestleMania, I’ve never performed there. Last year, after NXT Stand & Deliver, myself and Carmelo Hayes got to sit and watch in the skybox and watch WrestleMania. We looked at each other and it wasn’t a situation of ‘wow, this is so cool.’ It was, ‘that’s where we are going to be next year.’ We told each other that. That’s my goal.”
Carmelo Hayes Is Dominating NXT – But Could Join Waller At WrestleMania 40
Carmelo Hayes is still part of the NXT roster. For the past 142 days, he’s been the reigning NXT Champion – and doesn’t intend to drop the belt anytime soon.
Hayes could be part of WrestleMania 40 depending on how the rest of 2023 goes for him – but Waller is almost a sure thing to be involved with the biggest show of the WWE calendar.
Another major NXT star who could find himself on WrestleMania 40 is Bron Breakker. Having had two reigns as NXT Champion, Breakker is expected to be called up to the main roster soon – potentially being saved for a Royal Rumble spot in 2024. Wes Lee is another name expected to be leaving the NXT brand in the next year, having proven his potential as a singles wrestler after the death of MSK.
