‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers here and we’re set to end the week with a fun character building episode and some fun spoilery goodies to share.
It looks like there’s a chance for peace in the Abbott family, though there’s going to be some push back on that from Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson), but even she won’t be able to argue against Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters)’s latest move.
Without further ado, let’s get to some spoilers!
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Friday, August 18: Calming presence
Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) has been good for Ashley as he’s constantly trying to calm her and move past her hate for Diane.
But there’s going to be a little snag since she followed him to Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver)’s room and she’ll suspect he cheated on her already.
Granted, he has a history of that, but he’ll come clean and tell her everything, including Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) blackmailing Audra. He’ll even tell her she can ask Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) since he was there.
It’ll calm things down between them and he’ll ask her about moving out of the Abbott mansion since they can afford their own paradise somewhere.
That’s when some news will come through that could finally bring peace to the Abbotts.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Friday, August 18: Diane’s idea
Diane has heard all the rumors about her only wanting Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman)’s fortune and so on, and she’s going to have the perfect idea on how to deal with that.
She’ll have a prenuptial agreement ready to go. All she has to do is convince Jack to sign it and everything will hopefully be good going forward.
Of course, there will be a slight issue since Jack won’t want to sign it for a couple of reasons. He won’t want their marriage to look like it’s contingent on a legal document, but also he trusts her and doesn’t want it to appear that he doesn’t.
It’ll make sense, but Diane will keep working at him until he agrees and signs it. He’ll then send a picture of it to Ashley, and that will hopefully be the end of the war.
The final decision will come down to Ashley and how she’ll react to the news and whether she’ll be able to let go of her hate. Even if she can’t let it go, if she can temper it enough that she and Diane can coexist things will move forward and the family can heal.
Jack may even be more open to accepting Tucker and giving him a fair chance for the sake of his sister.
