‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers here and we’re set to keep things moving with some fun spoilery goodies to share.
This is going to be a interesting character building episode with a couple of new beginnings with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) skating away free as a bird, which isn’t a surprise at all.
Let’s get to some spoilers!
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Wednesday, August 9: Phyllis skates
It’s not a surprise to “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers since she always gets away with everything, and the fact the judge gave her six months community service and a year’s probation after Phyllis cries it wasn’t fair that Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) was forgiven only hurts the show.
There are so many angles they could’ve gone with this like Phyllis trying to make amends from prison, begging for Summer Newman (Alison Lanier) to visit her, and so on.
We hope the writers have something decent planned for Phyllis’ redemption now that she’s able to stalk her children and friends and annoy them into forgiving her so she can do something stupid in the future.
We also expect her to renew hostilities with Diane on some level because why not?
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Wednesday, August 9: Summer breaks free
Summer Newman (Alison Lanier) is going to be looking to start the next phase of her life after she cast her mom aside for her constant lies and chaos and coming to terms with not being able to save her marriage to Kyle Abbott (Micheal Mealor).
It’ll feel like a great weight is lifted from her, and she’ll want to celebrate with Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd), but he’ll be too busy.
Undaunted, Summer will head to the amusement park and go for a ride on a roller coaster.
It’s an unexpected and kinda cool way to display that she’s going to feel free and renewed now that she’s not letting her mom and Kyle drag her down.
Of course, there’s also a very good chance she’s going to roll the dice and go after Chance, but how far she’ll go with it is the question.
We get the feeling she may be close to tipping over an edge, and since Chance has been so kind to her, it makes sense that he’d be the one she’ll go after.
We’re sure Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will appreciate that, and it should be interesting to see how things go with the battle for Chance.
Did Phyllis learn anything or will it be more of the same? Let us know in the comments below and check back with “The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation.
