April 25th, 2022 – that is the last time that Julia Hart lost a match. That was to the current TBS Champion Kris Statlander, and revenge is coming at WrestleDream.
However tonight, Hart will face Willow Nightingale – who was sprayed with some vile black mist recently. Nightingale is not 100% – but still intends to get the win here tonight.
Julia Hart Breaks Down Willow Nightingale To Keep Win Streak Intact
Hart would take a stiff lariat as the match began, before being forced down into the corner. Nightingale would have her eye bandage yanked off, before hitting a stiff overhand chop. Hart would be seeing a new side of Nightingale, and a snap suplex got a two count.
A series of scoop slams would follow, but Hart took the fight to the floor. Hart would get Nightingale on her knees – and a sliding elbow smash would follow.
Back in the ring, Hart would keep the pressure on – focusing on the hurt eye of Nightingale. Hart would narrowly avoid a Death Valley Driver by again attacking the eye.
Nightingale would take more right hands from Hart, feeling the physicality that has kept Hart undefeated for over a year. A rear chinlock was applied, but Hart was lifted up and slammed into the mat.
Hart would get a Back Heel Trip and tried to apply Hartless – but was too close to the ropes, allowing Nightingale to get free.
Hart would avoid a cannonball splash in the corner, and hit a Moonsault Press – and got the biggest win of her career.
She got a crucial win before her title match on Sunday. Seventeen months of dominance meets Statlander on Sunday – and we will see who is truly deserving of being the face of TBS.
Hangman Page & Swerve Strickland Come Face To Face
Hangman Page is keen on proving that Swerve Strickland was off base when he said that Page no longer wants this spot in the company.
These comments by Swerve would light a fire under Page – who responded by defeating Brian Cage in a singles match, and winning the ROH World Six Man Tag Team Championships from the Mogul Embassy alongside the Young Bucks. Tonight, Page & Swerve will sign the contract – and make their match for WrestleDream official.
With Mogul Embassy and The Elite banned from ringside, the contract was waiting with a table and some microphones.
Page would be asked to sign it first – and Swerve would say that he’s loved the first from Page recently – but it’s not enough. He doesn’t understand where he’s going and who’s he’s meeting in the ring in Seattle. Page will never be the wrestler Swerve is. What’s a cowboy to an outlaw, what’s a buckshot to a killshot.
Page would admit that Swerve got under his skin with the initial promo – and he had some great points. There was something up with Page – and it was a little black cloud he couldn’t get away from.
The sun would shine, but the cloud persisted and it started to rain. That cloud is gone – and Page is back. The fans deserve more from Page, they deserve the best from him.
The Contract Is Signed In Blood – The Devil Gets His Due
So Swerve will get the best of Hangman at WrestleDream. The contract was signed by Page, and Swerve could only laugh. If that is the best Page has on the microphone – his position is already Swerves come WrestleDream. Page would say that if Swerve wants his damn spot – does he know what it takes?
Yes, Page was handed chances on a silver platter – he would also constantly knock them out of the park. If Swerve wants that spot, then he needs to man up and fill the boots of Page.
Swerve would go to sign the contract, and would slap Page across the face. Page would stab Swerve with the pen – meaning that the contract was signed in blood.
Following this segment, we would get a look backstage. Four men in black jumpsuits would beat Jay White down – led by the devil himself, MJF – wearing his mask from All Out 2022.
