From the moment Jade Cargill stepped onto AEW Dynamite for the very first time – fans knew she had the ‘it’ factor to succeed in professional wrestling.
She had the look and the charisma – and over her time with the company, proved to have the willingness to learn the ropes.
After a lengthy undefeated streak and time as the TBS Champion – she would finish up with her time as part of Tony Khan’s roster. A brief stretch followed with her future unclear – until today when WWE themselves confirmed she would be joining their roster.
It Was An Easy Choice For Jade Cargill To Sign With WWE
With the news first officially broken by ESPN – WWE would amplify the announcement on their website, announcing Jade Cargill would report to the WWE Performance Center as part of a multi-year deal with the company. Now being free to speak about this – Jade would join the Masked Man Show to speak about this massive career move.
“It feels great. I felt like I was in preparation for the grand stage. I felt like this was always the mission. I felt like the shoe fit. I felt like this was going to happen. Honestly, this was all expected. I’m excited to be here.
One thing I am is a business woman. I think I made the best route at the time. WWE is a great company, but I took what I had and I bet on myself. The outcome, obviously, paid off.
I want to create a legacy. I want to be in the Hall of Fame. I want to wrestle with the best women in the world. There is no grander stage than this stage. The opportunities are endless with this company. It was a no brainer. It was very welcoming. I didn’t have any second thoughts about it at all. It was an easy choice. It wasn’t easy, but it was easy.”
It’s unclear if Cargill will join the main roster immediately, or spend some time in NXT – as WWE figures out just what role she will fill on the roster.
