    Impact Wrestling Results (9/7) - Lio Rush Defeated Kevin Knight by Pinfall; Eddie Edwards Puts Trinity Through a Table After the Contract was Signed

    Impact Wrestling Results returned as Rush stretched across the top rope to play mind games, then went after Knight, but Rush gave him fits early on with his frantic speed.

    Knight finally sent him to the floor with a dropkick, and Rush tried to walk away, but Knight grabbed him on the ramp and threw him into the ring for a splash for a near pinfall.

    Rush tried to crawl out of the ring, but Knight pulled him back in and hit a diving shoulder tackle for another near pinfall and Rush headed to the floor to regroup.

    Rush fired off some chops, but Knight caught him with some heavy blows and a splash before he hammered on him some more.

    Knight ran in and Rush stuck his thumbs in his eyes and sent him to the floor where he hit a baseball slide and a pair of high speed dives.

    After an exchange, Rush hit a leaping clothesline for a pin attempt, and then nailed Knight with some heavy blows.

    Knight fought out or a pair of sleeper holds by driving Rush into the turnbuckle twice, and then he caught Rush on the top rope with a pop up Frankensteiner to buy some time.

    Rush blocked a DDT and they traded forearms in the ropes before Knight hit a dropkick, but missed a crossbody when Rush avoided him.

    Rush hit a spin kick and a Final Hour for the win in a great match. After the match, Rush hammered away on Knight, and then shoved the X-Division Championship in his face.

    Knight shoved him off and Rush lost it and hammered on him before locking in a Hoverboard Lock. Kushida ran out but Rush avoided the Hoverboard Lock and made his escape.

    Eddie takes out Trinity

    Santino Marella set up the contract signing and first introduced Alisha Edwards. She came out drinking champagne with Eddie Edwards.

    Marella then introduced the Knockouts World Champion Trinity, saying she’s made the place glow since she arrived.

    Trinity made her way around the ring to high five the fans before entering the ring.

    Marelle informed Alisha Trinity used her prerogative to have her sign first and Alisha took the opportunity to insult him and Canadian accents in general.

    Alisha told Trinity she needs to understand her and she’s been there for a very long time, and everyone thought she was just a champion’s wife.

    Things are changing. She thought she had to change her husband, but she needed to change and she won the battle royal because of it to become the number one contender and the next Knockouts champion. She then signed the contract.

    Trintiy signed, and Alisha called her out for not saying a word, and Trinity said she couldn’t understand her stupid accent for a good laugh.

    She added that she respects what Alisha has done and she was excited to face the Knockouts and she admitted she overlooked Alisha. She said she has her attention now after she earned her chance.

    Alisha accused her of walking in and being handed everything. Trinity said she could go anywhere, but chose Impact because that’s where the fiercest competition is.

    Eddie gave her grief and told her not to wave the Impact banner because they were there longer than anyone.

    Alisha mocked her for not having her husband there because he can’t be there even if he wanted to be there and Trinity confronted Eddie about turning his back on Impact and told him not to wave the Impact banner and called him Mr. Alisha.

    Alisha threw her champagne into Trinity’s face, and Trinity caught her with a kick and they hammered away on each other.

    Fans chanted for tabled and Trinity tried to powerbomb her through the table but Eddie grabbed her and put Trinity through it instead with a Blue Thunder Bomb.

    After they posed, Frankie Kazarian ran out to chase Eddie off.
