Jade Cargill was one of the biggest projects in All Elite Wrestling. Making her debut with a TV ready look, she would quickly gain a winning streak and became the first ever TBS Champion.
Cargill would steadily improve, working with Bryan Danielson behind the scenes. However – when she lost the TBS Championship at AEW Double Or Nothing 2023, speculation would begin on her leaving the company – which has now been confirmed. Cargill is now onto the next stage of her career.
Jade Cargill Is NXT Bound
Having been removed from the AEW roster page, Jade Cargill has left All Elite Wrestling. She is expected to report to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando very soon, and join the NXT brand.
This is likely the best outcome for Jade, as while she improved in AEW – and her second match with Kris Statlander was her best match to date? She is far from at her max potential yet.
Give her some time in the WWE Performance Center to round out her still rough edges, and WWE could have someone ready to main event shows the scale of WrestleMania by 2025.
Cargill has all the tools and the work ethic to thrive in WWE, now that she is part of the company. All she needs is the right coaches and time to practice – both of which she will now have access to. Cargill is obvious TV ready, and will be joining WWE’s Tuesday night roster as soon as she can be written onto TV.
Tony Khan Says Cargill Is Always Welcome Back In AEW
When it comes to her former boss Tony Khan, there is no hard feeling after her exit. When asked for comment, Khan had the following to say,.
“Jade had a great match on Friday night on AEW Rampage and it was a great match against Kris Statlander. Kris Statlander retained the TBS Championship on Rampage on Friday night and I thought that was a great match, definitely one of the best matches I’ve seen either of them have and I thought a really great main event for the show. As far as Jade goes, I can’t really comment on that except to say that Jade’s been a great wrestler for AEW and certainly always welcome in AEW, you know, could always be somebody we would always love to work with here in AEW.”
