There is always new talent arriving in WWE, but it takes a serious talent to be someone that can lead the division into a new era. We have yet to see that name for the male division of WWE, with the likes of Seth Rollins, Cody Rhodes & Roman Reigns firmly in control of that division for years to come.
However, the faster moving division lies with the women of WWE – and Rollins has spotted a potential leader who recently joined Monday Night RAW, that being Zoey Stark.
Seth Rollins Talks The Future Of The WWE Women’s Division
While speaking on WWE After The Bell with Corey Graves, Rollins would talk about the future of the the women’s division. The WWE World Heavyweight Champion would have the following to say.
“I would say 100% there is a lot of space to fill there, right now. On Raw, on SmackDown, absolutely, there is a void. What I sense more than anything is the bubbling undercurrent from our audience. They want something fresh and new, and they want to have people to get behind. They want it. I’m not saying these people are coming from NXT, you never know, it might be somebody that steps up, a Chelsea Green, a Piper Niven, you never know. There are tons of women capable on our main roster at the moment.
There is very much a ‘we want something more out of the women. We know it’s there, and we can’t wait to see it,’ there is a growing intrigue and a growing desire to see it. Zoey Stark was in the ring with Becky Lynch and they wrecked the main event of Monday Night Raw. That was Zoey’s first main event and I told her after, ‘the first of many.’ It’s going to be a huge thing. She is someone that has the opportunity to lead the next generation of women into the future. It’s there. It feels like they are on the cusp of a breakthrough. I felt like Monday was a huge reminder of what they are capable of.”
Zoey Stark Has All The Tools For WWE Success
This is high praise – but also expected. Stark was given a major chance being put in the middle of the feud between Becky Lynch & Trish Stratus.
Stratus was the legend in the feud, Lynch was the present – and it could well be that Stark is the future. She’s shown the work ethic needed to be a top name – which has brought the likes of Bianca Belair to the top to the division.
Add in that Stark is only 29 years old – and the future is incredibly bright for her. She’s proven her in-ring skills on numerous occasions, and her character work is beginning to catch up. Stark is a clear name to watch, and could reach the top sooner than anyone could have imagined.
