‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers are ready to keep things moving and this looks like it’s going to be a fun character development episode.
There’s going to be some fun moments in this one as Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) tries her hand at manipulation, er, matchmaking again and Lily Winters (Christal Khalil) helps Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) figure things out.

‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Tuesday, September 5: Phyllis is at it again
Phyllis is nothing if not consistent, and she’s going to continue trying to make it up her Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) and prove she’s changed by trying to push him back together with Heaver Stevens (Vail Bloom).
Of course, we doubt she’ll care that he’s with Lily since Phyllis never really liked her, but we’re curious how far she’ll go to get them back together.
While Daniel will know her tricks and be on the lookout for anything she has planned, there is every chance she’ll manage to plant a couple seeds of doubt in his mind.
We doubt they’ll go very far, but the way she works one never knows.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Tuesday, September 5: Lily keeps the balance
Billy has been troubled in recent days after being caught in the middle of Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson)’s war, and after seeing both sides he has reservations about both possibilities.
He’s on the verge of losing himself, so it’ll be good timing that he and Lily will cross paths and catch up. While they’ll unload their troubles on each other, they’ll also be there to balance and ground one another.
This will be especially helpful for Billy as he’s struggling and he’ll confess that he doesn’t trust Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) in business or Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) in general.
“The Young and the Restless” Spoilers even expect him to float the idea he’d be better to run Jabot because he doesn’t have the ties to Diane like Jack does, but he’s not interesting is doing a coup or anything like that.
It’s always good to see Lily and Billy together. They balance each other out perfectly and it’s one couple we wish had stayed together.
But knowing how fast things can change on this show, we could see them together again in the not so distant future.
