He would defeat many on the way to this record, most recently facing Chad Gable in a series of matches – which nearly seen him fall short of the record by a few days. However, now he remains in the crosshairs of those looking for gold – and Tommaso Ciampa is determined to make that title his.

Gunther & Ciampa have one prior meeting, which seen Gunther defeat Ciampa to retain the NXT UK Championship. Ciampa defeated Giovanni Vinci last night on Monday Night RAW.
