Toni Storm is ready to show everyone why she’s still the star of the AEW Women’s division. Having broken off from The Outcasts, Storm is riding solo in the spotlight – and tonight, she will have a chance to show her skills as she goes one on one with Skye Blue.
Blue is looking for another big win on the roster, and defeating a two time AEW Women’s World Champion would put her right into the hunt for a title shot.
‘Timeless’ Toni Storm Is Here To Rule AEW
Earlier in the night, Toni Storm would announce this is the start of a new era in her career – dubbing herself ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm.
She would pretend to shake the hand of Blue, before pulling her into a lariat. Blue would fight back in the corner, before taking a forearm smash to the jaw while on the top rope.
Storm would catch Blue off the apron with a hip attack, before calling her shot – she was going to ‘titty slap’ Blue – and deliver some overhand chops to the chest.
Breaking the referees count, Storm would roll into the ring – shake the referees hand, before heading back to the floor and beating Blue down once again. Back in the ring, Blue would have her face rubbed on the canvas of the ring.
Storm Zero Piledriver would be blocked by Blue, and the Blue Justice Knee would land. A low angle enziguri would land, before Blue came off the top rope with a crossbody splash.
Storm would kick out, before hugging Blue – before hitting a Snap German Suplex. Blue would head into the corner, and the Running Hip Attack would follow. Storm Zero was next – and Blue was defeated.
The Rated R-Superstar Is In AEW – And Has Lot To Say
Adam Copeland has arrived in All Elite Wrestling, and his resume in WWE speaks for itself. If there is something for a male wrestler to do there – he likely did it as Edge.
Now, he’s looking to further his legendary status with a run in AEW. People are still talking about his shocking debut at WrestleDream, and tonight we will hear from Copeland as he explains just what his plans in AEW are.
Hitting the ring to his iconic theme song, the crowd would come alive for the Rated R-Superstar Himself. Tony Schiavone was ready to greet Copeland in the ring – two legends sharing the ring.
The fans are still rabid after the debut on Sunday, and Copeland would say Schiavone’s voice was the soundtrack to his childhood. However, this is his ring now – and Schiavone doesn’t need to be here.
In 2011, Copeland was told he could never wrestle again. Now in 2023, he’s starting a new stage of his career as part of AEW. There’s a few reasons why he’s here – and he thinks the AEW World Championship would look great around his waist.
The roster has many first time matches waiting for him, people like Jon Moxley, Kenny Omega, Miro, Powerhouse Hobbs, Jay White, Juice Robinson, and more.
Why Did Copeland Come To AEW?
Adam Copeland is ready to challenge himself 31 years into his career with something new. But the main reason he came to AEW – he asked his daughters what he should do. Should he retire?
However, his daughter Lyric suggested he ‘go have fun with Uncle Jay’ – otherwise known as Christian Cage.
Cage would be called out, and Copeland was ready to tell him the real reason he’s here. The TNT Champion would hit the ring, and one of the greatest tag teams of all time would stare each other down. Holy shit chants would break out, and Copeland would say they’ve been best friends for 40 years.
So why did Copeland act against Cage at WrestleDream? Because seeing Cage acting the way he is in AEW right now, standing over Sting ready to end his career.
The man who Cage idolised as a kid, a man who has caused people to feel for four decades. Copeland couldn’t watch Cage do that, which is why he did what he did on Sunday.
He also did it because Luchasaurus & Nick Wayne will betray Cage the moment he outlives their usefulness. However, it’s simply just time.
It’s time for Cage & Copeland to team together against for the first time in a decade. To face teams like FTR, The Young Bucks, to show a generation of fans why they’re one of the greatest tag teams of all time.
Copeland wants to end his career as part of a tag team with his best friend – and that is why he’s in AEW. Cage would take the microphone, and offered a hug before telling Copeland to ‘go f*ck yourself’ and walking off with the TNT Championship in hand.
Will Copeland beat some sense into Cage? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
